Primary Supply Teacher – Southwark

Forward Teaching is excited to be working with primary schools in Southwark who are looking for an enthusiastic Primary Supply Teachers to join their team.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree (subject specialism desirable)

  • Clear Enhanced DBS

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English & Maths grade C/4 or above)

  • Great communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

  • Flexibility, reliability, and initiative

  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children

  • A good knowledge of the national curriculum

Your Role

As a KS1 & KS2 Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver lessons and manage the class in the teacher’s absence

  • Follow lesson plans and set homework as required

  • Motivate, inspire, and encourage pupils to achieve their best

  • Support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and behaviour in a positive way

  • Adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND

  • Record attendance and keep simple records of progress and behaviour

  • Provide feedback and reports as needed

Experience Required

  • At least 1 year’s teaching experience (Primary preferred)

Additional Requirements

  • QTS & a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)

  • In-person role (Southwark)
