Forward Teaching is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to work with our partner primary schools across Southwark.

The Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will work across KS1 and/or KS2, providing high-quality classroom cover and ensuring pupils continue to receive a positive and engaging learning experience in the absence of their usual teacher.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
• Engaging and motivating pupils throughout the school day
• Adapting your approach to meet different learning needs, including those of pupils with SEND
• Supporting pupils’ academic progress, behaviour and wellbeing
• Following individual school policies and safeguarding procedures
• Recording attendance and providing appropriate feedback to school staff
• Building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for teachers who are adaptable, confident and genuinely passionate about providing children with a positive educational experience.

You will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting
• A good working knowledge of the KS1 and/or KS2 National Curriculum
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils
• An inclusive approach and confidence supporting pupils with differing needs
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A professional, reliable and flexible approach
• A clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete the required checks
