FORWARD TEACHING are seeking a SENDCo for our client based in Swanscombe.

They are seeking an experienced special educational needs coordinator to join their team to help support their students and staff.


  • Clear Enhanced DBS 
  • Passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • A calm and patient approach to working with children
  • Excellent parent liaison skills
  • Has an excellent understanding of different approaches towards children’s learning to fit individual needs
  • Strong understanding, empathy, patience and sensitivity


  • Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies
  • Work with early year providers, other schools, educational psychologists, health and social care professionals and other external agencies
  • Analyse assessment date for pupils with SEN or a disability and fill out forms when needed
  • Review the education, health and care plan with parents or carers and the pupil
  • Ensure records are maintained and kept up to date
  • Be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
  • Identify training needs for staff

  • £45,000-£60,000


  • Monday-Friday


  • At least 1 year as a SENCO
  • At least 1 year working with SEND children


  • National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinator
  • Masters Degree
