FORWARD TEACHING are seeking a SENCo for our client based in Southwark

This outstanding school aim to create a welcoming and safe environment where the children feel positive towards their education. They are extremely supportive of their staff and students and encourage kindness throughout every school day. They are seeking an experienced SENCo to start with them in September.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Clear Enhanced DBS
  • Hold a clear DBS
  • Hold a degree & QTS status
  • Join a forward-looking, high achieving school
  • Contribute to the wider improvement of the school
  • Be a driven and professional character that is committed to their students as well as their colleagues
  • An empathetic, understanding and patient individual

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic overview of whole school SEN policy / procedures
  • Work with the SLT for behaviour and attitudes to ensure the school fulfils its statutory requirements including but not limited to the SEN code of practice
  • Lead a team of staff to ensure the smooth day to day running of the school, drawing on the skills / expertise of the wider staffing body where necessary
  • Act as an advocate for students and families providing support / guidance where necessary ensuring that all students receive the SEND support required
  • To work with local authority to ensure where possible HN Funding is gained for students

SALARY:

  • £34,502-£53,482 per year

SCHEDULE:

  • Monday to Friday

EXPERIENCE:

  • Working with SEN children

LICENCE/CERTIFICATION:

  • QTS
  • A degree within education

WORK LOCATION:

  • In-person
