Forward Teaching are excited to be working with a fantastic small village school with a warm, family feel. They place great emphasis on positive and secure relationships built upon trust, respect and clear communication. This extends to every member of the school community, providing a supportive learning environment where everyone is valued and included, championed and challenged. They are looking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant to start ASAP who has the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils through quality support and creative learning experiences.

What we’re looking for

• Experienced and/or qualified in primary education
• Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
• A solid understanding of how children learn and develop
• Adaptable, proactive, and able to respond to diverse learning needs
• Calm, caring and confident in managing behaviour supportively
• A true team player who brings warmth and energy to the classroom
• Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills
• The ability to build trusting relationships with children and staff

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Supporting class teacher by preparing learning materials
• Setting up classrooms
• Supervising pupils in group or one to one activities
• Motivate, inspire, and encourage pupils to achieve their best
• Support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and behaviour in a positive way
• Provide feedback and reports as needed

Additional Requirements

• Clear Enhanced DBS
• In-person role (Orpington)
