If you’re applying for your very first DBS or need a new one, we can help you.

On registering with us, we will provide you with a reference and code to get your DBS application in process.

Just notify us when your application is complete and you’ve settled your payment, and we’ll sort the rest.

Please note we do NOT reimburse you for the payment of the DBS. This is something you will need to pay for, but it’s a necessity and worth the money for you to secure your dream role in teaching.

Does My DBS Need To Be On The Update Service?

To work with Forward Teaching your current DBS certificate MUST be on the update service.

If you’re completing your DBS application with us, please note that you’ll have 14 working days to register to the update service once you have received your certificate.

If your existing DBS is not on the update service you will need to apply for a new one with us.

Which Documents Do I Need To Register With You?

On registering with us you’ll need to show us the following documents:

  • CV (with x2 references)
  • Passport

How Do I Inform You Of My Availability For Day-to-Day Supply?

Once you’ve registered and are clear to work with us you will receive an email from one of our team members regarding your availability for the week.

Please ensure you have registered with us using an email address you have regular access to.

And remember to check your junk for any missed emails from us. You’ll receive an email from us on either a Wednesday or Thursday regarding your availability for the upcoming week.

What Are My Payment Options?

We all look forward to payday!

To ensure you’re rewarded for your hard work, we can pay you through two different methods:

However you prefer to be paid; the decision is yours. If you decide to be paid through an Umbrella Company we recommend i4 and Marquee are top providers.

How Much Do You Pay Day-to-Day Supply Teachers?

An important question if you are seeking to work as a day-to-day supply teacher. The amount you earn will differ depending on the length of work and your experience.

As a day-to-day supply with us you can earn between £150-190 per day, however if you’re regularly returning to a school AWR will come into effect and you’ll be paid to scale.

Additionally, if you’re returning to the same school on a regular basis your pay can be negotiated.

Do You Provide Day-to-Day Supply Work During School Holidays?

Unfortunately, we do not provide any day-to-day supply work during the school holidays.

If you’re seeking day-to-day supply we can only offer you work during term-time.

Schools don’t usually require supply staff during school holidays, so use this time to refresh yourself and prepare for the new school term ahead.

It’s important to ask questions and we understand that not all of your questions may been covered in this discussion.

If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact us. Feel at ease when registering with Forward Teaching.
