Key Stage 2 is an important stage in a child’s education. From developing essential literacy and numeracy skills to encouraging critical thinking and preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school, teachers play a vital role in helping children achieve their potential.

Whether you’re an experienced Year 3 or Year 4 teacher, enjoy teaching upper Key Stage 2 or are confident working across Years 3–6, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re particularly interested in connecting with enthusiastic, adaptable teachers who can deliver engaging lessons, maintain positive classroom environments and support pupils with a wide range of learning needs.

About the Role

As a KS2 Primary Teacher, your responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the primary curriculum.
• Teaching pupils across Years 3–6, depending on your experience and the assignment.
• Supporting the development of literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum knowledge.
• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet different learning needs.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
• Supporting children with additional learning needs through appropriate classroom strategies.
• Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, school leaders and other staff.
• Maintaining professional communication and safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities will vary depending on the school, year group and individual assignment.

Potential opportunities may include day-to-day supply teaching, short-term classroom cover, planned absences and longer-term teaching placements.

What We’re Looking For

We’re particularly interested in hearing from teachers who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within UK primary schools.
• A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Confidence teaching literacy, numeracy and the wider primary curriculum.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to adapt teaching to meet different learning needs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A reliable, professional and flexible approach.
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing.

Experience teaching Year 6 or supporting pupils with SATs preparation would be particularly welcome, although it is not essential for all potential assignments.

We also welcome registrations from Early Career Teachers interested in suitable KS2 opportunities.
